Also, working in Newark Beth Israel and Community Hospital will be a great opportunity to work with a unique patient population and see great pathology. Why New Jersey EMS Fellowship: Emergency Medicine places us at the forefront of medical care during an individuals most vulnerable time, and in this environment we react with a calm speed as a coordinated team to resuscitate and stabilize. Our team members down range outside the hospital’s doors are asked to perform these same actions under the added stress of unknown surroundings, limited supplies and even in the face of ongoing danger. I chose to pursue an EMS Fellowship in order to craft my skills down range, to specialize in the preparation, coordination and reaction of medical services when and where disaster may strike. I chose The NJ EMS Fellowship for its exposure to event and tactical medicine, its volume of intercontinental critical care transports, its proximity to large populations and their shared belief that EMS Physicians should be out on the front lines working side by side with EMTs, paramedics and other first responders.
Interests: Critical Care Transport, Event Medicine and Disaster Medicine
