Michael Carr MD
Dr. Michael Carr is Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia. He is Associate Medical Direct of AMR-Dekalb County EMS and Associate Medical Director of Life Flight Georgia, a 6-helicopter air-medical transport system. Dr. Carr maintains an interest in flight medicine and remains involved with various fixed-wing air ambulance entities including the CDC / Emory University / Atlanta Airport Biosafety Transport Team for transport of patients that pose a communicable disease risk.

Dr. Parrish is currently the EMS Medical Director of Community Medical Center, the site of the largest Emergency Department on the East Coast. He is originally from Orlando, Florida and graduated college from the University of Central Florida. During that time he worked on a 911 ALS unit as a paramedic. He additionally was a lifeguard during he summers. Dr Parrish has been in New Jersey for 6 years and completed residency at Hackensack University Medical Center. After completing residency, he remains a part of the EMS Fellowship as teaching faculty. He loves actively making a difference on the front lines of medicine.

Joshua Schwarzbaum, MD, is an emergency and EMS physician. He completed his residency at Jacobi and Montefiore Medical centers in Bronx, N.Y., and his fellowship at RWJBarnabas Health in Newark, N.J. He currently works as an attending physician and associate EMS director at Saint Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY.

Dr. Torres is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at University of Maryland School of Medicine and works clinically at the University of Maryland Medical System at various clinical teaching sites. He also serves in the United States Air Force Reserve as a member of the Critical Care Air Transport Team (CCATT) where he assists in global aeromedical evacuation.

Dr Daniello is currently Associate EMS Medical Director for EMS Physician Mercy Healthcare System in Janesville WI. He is also a Tactical EMS Physician for the Winnebago County Sheriffs Department. He is one of 7 EMS Prehospital Physicians who provide 24/7 Physician level prehospital in southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Dr Daniello is also a Captain in the United States Army Reserve Medical Core 452nd CSH Bravo Company and serves as a tactical emergency physician in a combat support hospital.

Dr. Kotora is an alumni of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center’s Fellowship in EMS & Disaster Medicine, class of 2014. He is currently stationed at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune on board Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Dr. Kotora holds the rank of Commander in the United States Navy. His current assignment involves prehospital medical direction to 260 Paramedics and EMTs, serving more than 220,000 people. He has been integral to the development of the trauma center at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune.

Dr. Nieves graduated and was the first graduate of NBIMC’s EMS and Disaster Medicine Fellowship in 2013. She has served as an EM attending physician in both the community and academic settings and has a keen interest in International Medicine. Dr. Nieves has helped develop EMS programs and clinics in developing areas of the world such as Benin City, Nigeria, Lwakhakha, Uganda, and Nigeria. She is also well-versed in health care policy and utilization management and actively serves as Medical Director for naviHealth.
